Standing in his field, this contemporary cow is looking right at you. He has the stare going on, and he is as still as a statue. I had seen this handsome guy at the Ft. Worth Stock Show and had to paint him. He is dry and ready to hang on the wall. I painted the sides of the gallery wrap canvas, so framing is optional. Contact Kay Wyne for purchasing information. Thanks, Kay
I completed this painting in the studio today. I just made some minor changes that have an impact on this Buttercup...her colors are so warm and rich. So buttery....I thought that Buttercup was ideal for her name. Hi lights and low lights and some random splashes of turquoise and coral punch it up. For the most part I used a flat wide brush, but in the end, used a small filbert to scrub in some color and abstract lines. Contact Kay for more information and photos on Buttercup. Have an artful day.....KMW
I have been out of the studio for a while with a number of commissions waiting to be completed.
I like to complete small paintings within a hour to "warm up" the creative juices and establish a palette. This is yesterday's "warm up" - 6" X 6" and completed in 30 minutes. Sometimes it's best to just paint without thinking....
