Layers of color, texture and variety in brush strokes give this large canvas interest.  The subject matter is one of my favorites to painting....florals and more florals!  Using the palette knife gives me the opportunity to fraction the paint and change up my edges on the petals.  This floral is looking for a new home...and does not require framing.  Contact Kay for more information on this contemporary floral.  Thanks for looking...KMW

Contemporary Abstract

Oil Paint, Oil Bars, Impasto, Palette Knives and Brushes

It was great going to the studio today...I told John that

I was going to paint "just for the heck of it!"

Here's what my canvas started out like:

After pushing and pulling the paint, applying it with a brush and palette knife, I completed the painting.  It will take a while for the layers to dry.  I am pretty sure that I am finished, but I might make some minor changes after living with it.  Thanks for looking at this blog...Kay
