Contemporary Abstract
I was thinking of all the severe weather we are having in Texas when I named this contemporary abstract. The current weather situation of flooding and high winds have left a path of destruction. On my canvas, the eye of the storm on the canvas is swirling, as if I am looking at a tornado from an aerial view. The muddy greys and violets are mixed in with the olive greens...it's not my usual color palette. You can see the wide swipes or strokes that I took with the palette knife, leaving some texture on the canvas.
